Vineyard Wedding Style at the Doctor’s House
Angie and Mervin were married on a gorgeous late summer day, starting with a sweet Tamil Catholic ceremony in Toronto, followed by a dreamy reception in Kleinburg. I loved working with them because they had a great eye for style, and they trusted me with their vision. I proposed a vineyard wedding style design with blush, coral, and peach centerpieces, lush greenery, and hints of sparkle. They left every beautiful detail to me, which allowed me to produce one of my most spectacular weddings ever. (I *may* have gone overboard with blogging the decor photos today, but they are all so pretty.) Enjoy!
I sourced the blush bridesmaid gowns from a shop that let us mix and match styles in similar palettes, which was perfect for this group of ladies. I also sourced the earrings which were gifted from the bride to her party on the morning of the wedding. How sweet are these photos?
After the Tamil Catholic ceremony, the couple and the bridal party travelled to the gorgeous Kortright Centre for photos with Strokes Photography. The natural setting and beautiful light helped create some magical portraits. Don’t they look like paintings?
The couple and bridal party then travelled to The Doctor’s House in Kleinburg, where the florist and I had been busy setting up the Great Hall with lanterns, lush florals, greenery, and watercolour stationery. All of the vineyard wedding style details came together more perfectly than I had imagined. The photographer and I worked together and optimized this “detail shot” time so the beauty could be captured in full.
Talented calligrapher Love Lettering by Doris was able to fit over 200 names on this chalkboard seating chart. She is amazing.
Dinner was a mix of Guyanese and Sri Lankan dishes by CanAsia. Following dinner, Beauty by Nila helped our bride change into her red koorai sari which had been blessed during the ceremony and reception. Traditionally, this sari is worn for cutting the wedding cake. (So sweet!) The guests then danced the night away to chutney music from RLE Soundcrew.
This wedding was also featured on the Event Source blog. Check it out here.
